Dear Fair Volunteers, The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair is just around the corner! This year the Fair will be Aug. 10-18, 2012. Volunteers are needed during the Fair preparation and the Fair days for the Cheese Booth and the Information Booths. This is a fun and easy way to earn Student Service Learning hours or Agricultural Center Membership hours. Training sessions for both areas are scheduled so everyone becomes familiar with the responsibilities. The Cheese Booth also needs help before and after each training session to help prepare the booth for the Fair. To register for preferred work shifts everyone, including prior year volunteers MUST attend ONE of the following sessions: Cheese Booth Orientation or Information Booth Orientation July 14, 2012 10:00 am-11:00 am July 14, 2012 11:15 am-12:15 pm July 21, 2012 11:00 am-12:00 pm July 21, 2012 9:30 am-10:30 am July 28, 2012 11:30 am-12:30 pm July 28, 2012 10:00 am-11:00 am Aug. 4, 2012 10:00 am-11:00 am Aug. 4, 2012 11:15 am-12:15 pm Sessions for both will meet at the Cheese Booth. The above Saturdays are Fair workdays and the Cheese Booth will need help preparing the building for the Fair. Fair workday sign-in begins at 8:00am each Saturday. Volunteers who sign in before 9:00am will get a free lunch ticket. Your help is always welcome. Volunteering is more enjoyable with friends and family, so bring them along too. Returning volunteers for the Information Booth may attend a refresher session on July 12, 2012. We will meet at 6:00 pm in front of the office.
