But since 1982, the Maryland Vietnamese Mutual Association (MVMA) has been working to strengthen and uplift the Vietnamese American community. Through our years of service to the community, we are known as one of best small non-profits in the Greater Washington Region by the Catalog for Philanthropy. We realize that we couldn’t have done it without you! Your dedication has enabled MVMA’s outreach to Vietnamese Americans throughout the Washington DC metro area. With your support, MVMA has organized for over 20 years, the Lunar New Year “Tet” Festival that brings thousands of people in the community together, and the Annual Academic Awards Picnic that joins families to recognize academic excellence. Your sponsorship has meant, our education and advocacy programs as well as direct services reach those in most need, from mentoring and counseling for at-risk school children, to training and development for parents, to ensuring government aging services are accessible to vulnerable seniors.
