For Immediate Release: 3/7/2013 Three Small Business Seminars to be Held at Germantown Library A series of three seminars related to small business will be presented in March, April and May by SCORE DC mentors at the Germantown Library, 19840 Century Blvd. The three seminars, which will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., will be held according to the following schedule: March 19 “Essentials of Starting a Business”; April 16 “Developing a Business Plan”; and May 21 “Accounting for a Small Business.” A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations. US Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) mentors will discuss factors that will help lead to a successful business; testing business ideas, legal structure, accounting, insurance, market analysis and marketing; sources of financing, management team, and profits and losses. The series is co-sponsored by SCORE DC and the Germantown Library. SCORE DC is one of more than 364 chapters of SCORE. Five SCORE counselors/mentors also provide counseling daily, five days a week, at Rockville Memorial Library. Online registration is available at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/library.
