Press Release March 6, 2013 Ket Doan is pleased to announce to all Vietnamese American high school seniors in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area of our first scholarship in the amount of $1,000. The mission of Ket Doan’s Scholarship is to reward outstanding students who demonstrate high academic merit and show great passion towards community service. Furthermore, through the scholarship we would like to encourage the students to use their academic and leadership skills to positively contribute to the development of their communities. The scholarship recipient is selected on the basis of academic merit, leadership excellence and community contribution. Selection and award criteria: – The scholarship candidate must attend a college, university or vocational school in the Washington, DC metropolitan area in the Fall of 2013. – A commitment to participate in at least one of Ket Doan’s programs or events in 2013.
