Theo nguồn tin của quận Montgomery For Immediate Release: 1/30/2014 No-Sew Fleece Throw Blanket Craft Program Featured at Germantown Library as Library Lovers Month Program Teens, adults and seniors can learn how to make a “No-Sew Fleece Throw Blanket” at a free program to be held at Germantown Library on Saturday, February 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. Craft instructor Sandra Whitaker will teach participants how to make their own blanket. The program is free but participants must purchase their own supplies. A list of supplies is available at the library located at 19840 Century Blvd. Registration – limited to 25 persons — is required and must be completed by February 7 at 5 p.m. Register online. The blanket craft session, the first of its kind at Germantown Library, is one of the Makerspace programs that are gaining popularity across the country. A Makerspace program provides access to spaces – such as in libraries or other community-based centers — where the public can gather to design and create do-it-yourself projects by sharing equipment, educational opportunities and guidance. The library’s meeting room is equipped with an audio induction loop system for people who use hearing aid amplification with a telecoil switch or cochlear implants.
