For Immediate Release: 5/12/2015 Montgomery County Celebrates May as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month County Executive Ike Leggett will proclaim May as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month during a celebration in the first-floor meeting room at the Rockville Memorial Library, in the Rockville Town Square, 21 Maryland Ave, on May 14, from 6:30 to 8pm. The networking event and celebration is sponsored by members of the Asian Pacific American Advisory Group and the Office of Community Partnerships. Attendees will have a chance to meet Asian Pacific American community leaders in Montgomery County. A Bharatanatyam, an Indian traditional dance routine, will be performed by the Natananjali School of Dance. Tea and refreshments will be provided by the Sri Lankan Embassy and Seven Seas Restaurant in Rockville. The event is free and open to the public but registration is required.
