Rockville City Facilities to Close for the Holidays
Recycling and Refuse Collection Will Not Be Affected Rockville, Md., Dec. 2 – City Hall and all city facilities will be closed in observance of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Many facilities and programs will operate on a limited schedule on Thursdays, Dec. 24 and 31. City Hall will also close from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, for an annual recognition event for city employees. Recycling and refuse will not be affected by the holidays. City facilities will operate on the following schedule: City Hall and all city facilities will be closed Friday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day) and Friday, Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day). Croydon Creek Nature Center will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursdays, Dec. 24 and 31. During the last two weeks of December, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be open only from 2-7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Dec. 22 and 29 and Wednesdays, Dec. 23 and 30. The box office will resume regular hours on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre. Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursdays, Dec. 24 and 31, and Saturdays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. The Rockville Senior Center, including the fitness room, will close at 5 p.m. on Thursdays, Dec. 24 and 31.
