Rockville, Md., July 19 — The Glenview Mansion Art Gallery will hold a free opening reception on Sunday, Aug. 7. The reception begins at 1:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. concert at the Glenview Mansion Conservatory. On exhibition this month: Marilyn Simon — sculpture and mixed media, “Playful All The Way Through.” Deanne Cellarosi — oil painting, “The Horse in Sport and Landscape.” Carla Steckley — photography, “Reverence for Trees.” Music for the concert will be by Harmonic Introductions, a vocal ensemble dedicated to the art of overtone singing. The reception ends at 3:30 p.m. and the exhibition runs through Friday, Aug. 26. The Glenview gallery is located at the mansion in Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive, and is open from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday.
