Wednesday, November 23, 2016 City facilities are operating on normal business hours, with the exception of the following: The Activity Center at Bohrer Park will open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Olde Towne and Robertson Park Youth Center will open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, November 24, 2016 All City facilities are closed. Recycling scheduled for collection will be collected Saturday, November 26, 2016. The Administrative Offices of the Gaithersburg Police Station are closed. Police patrol will remain on duty. For emergencies please call 911. For non-emergencies, please dial 301-279-8000 for dispatch. Friday, November 25, 2016 All City facilities are closed, with the exception of the following facilities: The Activity Center at Bohrer Park will open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Aquatic Center will maintain normal business hours. The Arts Barn will open for evening performance. The Gaithersburg Police Department Administrative Offices will maintain normal business hours. The turf field at Lakelands Park will be open for community use Thursday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The City of Gaithersburg announces that the collection of recycled materials for residents whose regular recycling day is Thursday, November 24, 2016, will take place the following Saturday, November 26. This includes newspaper, mixed paper, corrugated cardboard, and commingled materials, as well as brush, branches, grass clippings, leaves and other yard trimmings, picked up by the City’s recycling contractor. Recycling scheduled for Friday, November 25 will be picked up as scheduled. Regular trash and garbage collection for City residents is handled by private contractors.
