Rockville Facilities to Close for the Holidays
Rockville, Maryland, Dec. 5 – City Hall will be closed Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas Day and Monday, Jan. 2 in observance of New Year’s Day. Recycling and refuse will be collected one day later throughout those weeks. Find more information at www.rockvillemd.gov/recycling-refuse. City Hall will also be closed 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, for an annual recognition event for city employees. Other city facilities will operate on the following schedule this month: Croydon Creek Nature Center will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 24 and 31 and closed Sundays, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The center is closed Mondays. During the last two weeks of the month, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be open only from 2-7 p.m. Tuesdays, Dec. 20 and 27 and Wednesdays, Dec. 21 and 28. The box office will resume regular hours Tuesday, Jan. 3. Tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre. Lincoln Park and Thomas Farm community centers and Twinbrook Community Recreation Center will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 24 and 31 and Mondays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, and closed Sundays, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The Rockville Senior Center, including the fitness room, will close at 2 p.m. on Saturdays, Dec. 24 and 31, and is closed Sundays. The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open 6 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 24 and 31, closed Sundays Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, and open Mondays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.
