Posted: January 31, 2017High school seniors who are residents of the City of Gaithersburg are encouraged to apply for a W. Edward Bohrer, Jr. Memorial CHARACTER COUNTS! Scholarship. http://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/services/community-services/character-counts-program/w-edward-bohrer-memorial-character-counts-scholarship-program Since the program’s inception in 1998, 85 high school seniors have received more than $150,000 to help with their continuing education costs. Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the City of Gaithersburg’s Educational Enrichment Committee, and are based on the embodiment of the Six Pillars of Character, personal merit, financial need, and the student’s commitment to further education. Applications are now available here and should be completed online.
