Theo nguồn tin của montgomerycountymd.gov For Immediate Release: 7/29/2013 http://www6.montgomerycountymd.gov/apps/News/press/PR_details.asp?PrID=10154 For Immediate Release: 7/15/2013 Salvadoran American Day Festival to be Held August 4 in Downtown Wheaton Salvadoran food, traditional crafts and live music by local and international artists will highlight the fourth Salvadoran American Day Festival that will be held on Sunday, August 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Wheaton Triangle. The free festival commemorates Salvadoran American Day in the United States and celebrates Montgomery County’s and the metro region’s Salvadoran community. It is presented by Montgomery County, in partnership with the Salvadoran American Transnational Communities. The event will take place in the parking lot at the Wheaton Triangle at the corner of Reedie Dr. and Grandview Ave., one block north of the Wheaton Metro Station. Attendees are encouraged to park in the Metro garages on Viers Mill Rd. and Reedie Dr. and Georgia Ave. and Reedie Dr. which are free on Sundays. The family-oriented festival also will feature an array of community services, including a Latino Health Fair, organized by Maryland State Delegate Ana Sol Gutierrez, where residents will receive free and confidential health screenings such as blood pressure, cholesterol, vision, dental, HIV, etc. Attendees can learn about various community services, including Police and the Fire and Rescue Service, passport renewals through the Salvadoran consulate and information about the upcoming elections from the Board of Elections.
