Office of Human Rights to Host Community Picnic on September 14

For Immediate Release: 8/21/2014 Office of Human Rights to Host Community Picnic on September 14 Montgomery County’s Committee on Hate/Violence and the Office of Human Rights will host the Second Annual “Friendship Picnic” on Sunday, September 14 from 1 to 5 p.m., at Wheaton Regional Park, 2000 Shorefield Road. The event brings together diverse communities to share their cultures, traditions and faiths. Food, beverages and entertainment for the entire family will be provided. The picnic will be co-hosted by the Human Rights Commission, the Office of Community Partnerships, the Montgomery County Executive’s Faith Community Working Group and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.
