For Immediate Release: 9/5/2014 Ride On Invites the Public to Comment on its Revised Title VI Policies that Prohibit Discrimination Montgomery County’s Ride On bus system is soliciting comments on its revised Title VI plan that outlines how Ride On provides equitable and non-discriminatory service. Under Federal Transit Administration regulations, transit systems such as Ride On must have a plan to ensure that service, routing, amenities, the types of buses, etc. are equitable across all groups. The proposed Title VI definitions, service standards and policies are available on Ride On’s website. The public is encouraged to attend an information session/open house scheduled for: • Tuesday, September 16, 6 to 9 p.m., at the Silver Spring Civic Building, Great Hall, One Veterans Place, Silver Spring, or • Wednesday, September 17, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Executive Office Building, Lobby Level Auditorium, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville Meeting locations are accessible to persons with disabilities. Any person needing special accommodations to participate is requested to contact Ride On by September 12 by phone at 240-777-5800, or by mail at: Ride On Transit Services, 101 Monroe Street, 5th floor, Rockville, MD 20850.
