Press Release March 6, 2015 Ket Doan is pleased to announce our 3rd annual Ket Doan Scholarship to all Vietnamese-American high school seniors in the Washington, D.C Metropolitan area. Each year, the Ket Doan Scholarship rewards student(s) who demonstrate high academic merit while showing a passion for community service. The goal of the KD Scholarship is to encourage students to use their academic and leadership skills to make a positive contribution to their communities and the Washington, D.C. community alike. The scholarship recipient(s) will be selected on the basis of academic merit, leadership, and services to their community. Additional selection and award criteria are as follows: The scholarship candidate must attend a college, university or vocational school in the Washington Metropolitan Area (MD-VA-DC) in the fall of 2015. A commitment to participate in at least one of Ket Doan’s programs or events in upcoming school year. Number of scholarship awards: 2 Amount: $1000 Submission Deadline: Friday, April 24, 2015 Scholarship Recipient will be notified by Friday, May 8, 2015 Award ceremony will be held at Ket Doan Annual Picnic on Saturday, May 16, 2015 Please go to our website at www.ketdoan.org to download the scholarship application.
