For Immediate Release: 4/16/2015 Vocalist Cecelia Esquivel and Cantare, her musical group, will lead an interactive program on Latin rhythms for children and adults on Saturday, April 25, at noon at Davis Library. The library is located at 6400 Democracy Blvd., Bethesda. The free program, sponsored by Friends of the Library/ Davis Chapter, will feature audience participation through singing, playing percussion instruments, and dancing to music from the Caribbean and Central and South America. Esquivel will sing in Spanish and Portuguese and share stories of the music’s history. After studying at the National Conservatory of Music in her native Argentina, Esquivel earned a BA in music performance at the University of Maryland and an LCSW degree from the Catholic University of America.
