For Immediate Release: 4/28/2015 The Aspen Hill Library, at 4407 Aspen Hill Rd. in Rockville, will host two free programs in celebration of Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month. On Saturday, May 2 a Tai Chi demonstration and workshop will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Tai Chi Master Chung-Jen Chang will present the program for persons ages 14 and up. Master Chang has taught Tai Chi for more than 30 years and consulted on “Pushing Hands” directed by Oscar winner Ang Lee. Chang is a National Grand Champion and has judged Tai Chi contests and given workshops throughout the U.S. and Canada. On Tuesday, May 19, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., attendees can travel “On the Other Side of the World: Bangkok, Singapore and China” with award-winning photographer Fred Shapiro. The narrated travelogue will include Buddhist temples in Bangkok, a cruise down the Yangtze River in China and foggy mountains and the caverns of Guilin.
