Commission for Women Presents Two Public Conversations about Domestic Violence; October is National Domestic Violence Month

For Immediate Release: 9/24/2015 Commission for Women Presents Two Public Conversations about Domestic Violence; October is National Domestic Violence Month A public conversation about domestic violence in the community will take place from 7 – 8:30 p.m., on the second and third Wednesdays in October. The first event, on October 14, will take place at the Eastern Montgomery Regional Center, 3300 Briggs Chaney Rd., Silver Spring. The second one is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, at the Silver Spring Civic Building, One Veterans Place. Entitled “Love Shouldn’t Hurt: A Public Conversation about Domestic Violence,” the free events will provide information about services that are available and how to help friends and family in relationships affected by abuse. The conversation is sponsored by Montgomery County’s Commission for Women, Montgomery County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council, Silver Spring Civic Building and Eastern Montgomery Regional Services.
