Open Studio Weekend is a free, open festival brings over 70 artists to open their doors for shopping, live music, food trucks, film screenings, and much more! pen Studio Weekend: A Festival of the Arts is Washington ArtWorks’ bi-annual art festival that opens up our 30,000 square foot facility to the public for shopping, food, music, film, games, and more! Be a part of the art at Montgomery County’s largest visual arts center. 70 Resident Artists working in painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, fibers, glass, and photography open their studio doors for the public to see what they have been crafting all year! At Open Studio Weekend, you’ll find unique pieces of art, fine crafts, and the home of some of your community’s most talented artists. Food trucks, Holy Crepes, Curley’s Q BBQ, and Balkanik Taste will be whipping up delicious savory and sweet treats for visitors while bands play live music for artful ears. Learn more about the tempting trucks at Open Studio Weekend. Iranian band, FANAA (translates to Nirvana) are the featured band this year at Open Studio Weekend! FANAA is influenced by Persian mystic philosophy and poetry and unleashes their music through keyboard and sitar. Art-themed games and competitions will keep visitors of all ages excited throughout the day! Film and video artists across our area and the nation screen their work in our Open Studio Weekend screening room while popcorn pops in our old-timey popcorn maker.
