SOURCE: Posted: November 25, 2015 Go Gaithersburg Guide The Leisure Times Guide is now the Go! Gaithersburg Guide, and the winter edition with recreation class listings, facility information, cultural arts, and other activities is now available. Registration for City of Gaithersburg residents starts November 30. Open registration starts December 2. “We wanted to freshen up the publication and change the name to more broadly reflect what’s inside,” said Michele Potter, Director of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture. “The publication was renamed after considerable exploration of trends and best practices across the country.” With a tagline of Move, Play, Grow, the quarterly Go! Gaithersburg Guide is more than just a listing of class offerings. It includes pages dedicated to the City’s Youth and Aquatic Centers, the Benjamin Gaither Center for older adults, cultural performances at Arts on the Green, programming at the Community Museum, activities for preschoolers, and much more. Among the class offerings this winter are swim lessons, fitness, personal development, dance, and fine arts. The Go! Gaithersburg Guide is published in February, May, July and November and is mailed to all households in the City. Copies are also available at all City facilities, at the Gaithersburg and Quince Orchard Libraries, and online in the Related Documents section. For more information contact the Department of Parks, Recreation at Culture.
