For Immediate Release: Monday, June 20, 2016 The Friends of Library, Montgomery County (FOLMC) opened the temporary location of the Wheaton Bookstore today. The store will be located at 8901 Colesville Road, Silver Spring (the former site of the old Silver Spring Library). The Wheaton Bookstore will remain at this site until construction is completed for the new Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center. The bookstore is open to the public and features a wide selection of books, multimedia recordings, and educational games for sale at reduced prices. Proceeds from the bookstore benefit Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) to fund enhanced programs and services for the library system. The bookstore accepts gently used donations during normal business hours. Donors may obtain a receipt for tax purposes at the time of drop off only. FOLMC operates a second bookstore in Rockville at the Randolph Hills Shopping Center located at 4886 Boiling Brook Parkway. The bookstore recently expanded its retail footprint and includes space for community programming in partnership with MCPL.
