Youth entering grades K through 8 can participate in a variety of activities, learn about nutrition and wellness, and get information from leading youth sports professionals. The free event, which takes place rain or shine, will be held at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm, 506 S. Frederick Avenue. T-shirts and prizes will be awarded for completing the challenges. Along with fun-filled activities, Chef Gayle Owens will conduct a healthy cooking demonstration presented by UnitedHealthcare. “Coach G,” the official Gaithersburg Sports mascot, and members of the City’s own Gaithersburg Giants, part of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League, will also be in attendance.
