Gaithersburg Fireworks at Bohrer Park Rescheduled for July 8

Posted: July 25, 2016 Community Services Officer Eight neighborhoods in the City of Gaithersburg are joining with more than 16,000 communities across the country to participate in the 33rd Annual National Night Out (NNO) Against Crime campaign. On Tuesday, August 2, participating neighborhoods will hold events to increase drug prevention awareness, generate support for anti-crime programs, encourage residents to be involved in their communities, and send a message that neighborhoods and businesses are organized to fight back against crime. The NNO programs help bring together residents, law enforcement agencies, local officials, civic groups, and neighborhood organizations. Participating neighborhoods include: Brighton Village Apartments (7 – 9 p.m.) – Ice Cream Social in Clubhouse, 373 West Side Drive Kentlands/Lakelands (6 – 9 p.m.) – Activities in Clubhouse, 485 Tschiffely Square Road Montgomery Meadows (6 – 8 p.m.) – Activity/Location TBD Saybrooke (6 – 10 p.m.) – Cookout at the Community Pool, 702 Saybrooke Oaks Boulevard Streamside Apartments (6 – 8 p.m.) – Activity/Location TBD Summit Crest Apartments (6 – 8 p.m.) – Activities at Community Pool, 38 North Summit Avenue Whetstone Run (6 – 9 p.m.) – Block Party, 400 block of Belle Grove Road Quince Orchard Park (6 – 8 p.m.) – Outdoor Picnic, 500 Highland Ridge Road For more information on Gaithersburg’s NNO programs please call the Community Services Officer at the Gaithersburg Police Department.
