Free Summer Outdoor Concert: Cissa Paz Captivating Brazilian singer-songwriter dazzles with smoldering tunes that meld the rich traditions of Afro-Brazilian music with Luso-African concepts. Since moving to the US, she has integrated R&B, soul, and hip-hop into her sound. With charisma and grace, Paz entertains and edifies her audiences, often sharing stories about the eclectic genres she explores. You’ll be mesmerized by her soulful vocals as she captures the joyful spirit of Brazil. Paz was born in Belgium, raised mostly in Rio de Janeiro, and currently resides in Washington, DC The multilingual Paz sings in Portuguese, Portuguese Creole, Spanish, French, and English. Paz’s passion for music started with dance—she studied ballet, jazz, modern, and the urban styles of samba and salsa, leading her to perform and teach later on.
