Posted: August 15, 2016 Sponsorship Opportunities A comprehensive guide to marketing opportunities at City of Gaithersburg events and activities is now available. The booklet details more than a dozen festivals, parades, sports events, and community initiatives through which businesses and organizations can connect to area residents. “I’ve talked to a number of businesses that were interested in seeing the complete package of opportunities,” said City of Gaithersburg Sponsor Coordinator Jenni Opel. “We’ve pulled all of the listings into one easy-to-read guide so potential sponsors can customize what best fits their needs.” Each page contains detailed information about the event, its audience, and the benefits of sponsorship. Many events feature multiple levels, providing sponsorship opportunities for a wide range of budgets. Each page also indicates if there are opportunities at that event for in-kind sponsorship, exhibit space, volunteer opportunities, and if the activity is coordinated by a 501(c)(3) organization. “Some companies have come to me saying that while they can’t sponsor an activity with a cash contribution, they do have a cadre of employees who want to be involved in something,” said Opel. “In addition to traditional sponsor opportunities, this guide outlines other ways that area businesses can both connect to potential customers and support initiatives to give back to the community.” The guide is available online here. It is a dynamic document, and will be updated regularly as opportunities are added.
