We’re excited to announce the launch of our new FREE outdoor film series in Downtown Silver Spring! Silver Screens is presented by AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center and Councilmember Tom Hucker, with support from the Montgomery County Recreation and Silver Spring Jazz Festival. All screenings will take place on Veteran’s Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring and films will be shown with subtitles on. Screenings begin after sundown between 8:00 – 8:30 p.m. Full lineup: Aug 12 — Frozen* Aug 19 — When We Were Kings Aug 26 — Back To the Future Sept 2 — No screening (Labor Day Weekend) Sept 9 — Paris Blues –Silver Spring Jazz Festival screening supported by Mo Co Dept of Recreation Denizens Brewing Co and Adega Wine Cellars & Cafe will be offering beer and wine for sale to enjoy during your film! BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) *No alcohol will be sold at FROZEN screening.
