For Immediate Release: Wednesday, October 5, 2016 The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection will hold a public information meeting to discuss the Gude Landfill. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 19 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Candlewood Elementary School located at 7210 Osprey Dr., Rockville. The findings of the Gude Landfill Assessment of Corrective Measures (ACM) Report will be presented at the meeting. Discussion topics will include timeframes, communication and community outreach plans and potential short- and long-term uses of the landfill and the process and steps for determining eventual re-use. The full ACM Report and associated documentation is available for review at http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/sws/facilities/gude/ Sign language interpreter services and other auxiliary aids and services will be provided upon request. If these services are needed to participate in this event, please provide us with notice as far in advance as possible but no less than three business days prior to the event.
