Welcoming Remarks from Robert DiSpirito, Rockville's New City Manager

Theo tin Thành phố Rockville

I couldn’t be more excited to be in Rockville, an amazing, diverse community of strong neighborhoods, beautiful parks, high-performing schools and engaged citizens. My wife, Evangelina, and our kids and I truly look forward to making Rockville our new home. My first objective is to go out and meet Rockville’s employees and residents, listen intently, and learn all I can about this great community, reaching out and hearing what matters to our residents, civic groups, schools, businesses, and other partners. Our best ideas for improvement often come from front-line employees and our customers themselves. I encourage you to introduce yourselves to me and to share your ideas for Rockville’s future. I want to be accessible, and the Mayor and Council and I welcome your participation in your local government at all levels. I will do my utmost to help the Mayor and Council, city employees and residents achieve their vision of a thriving future for this great city. To do this, I will draw upon my 20 years’ experience as city manager in two dynamic cities, and a total of 30 years’ local government experience in four states: Florida, Ohio, Texas and Pennsylvania. It’s my honor to begin serving alongside a group of talented and caring city employees who hold Rockville’s best interests at heart. We are here for you.
