Posted: January 19, 2017Maryland Department of Transportation & Montgomery County Department of Transportation Press Release The Maryland Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Montgomery County Department of Transportation, is conducting a study for developing Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) along a portion of the MD 355 corridor. Two public Open Houses will be held to provide information on the BRT conceptual alternatives under study and gather community input about potential BRT service from Bethesda to Clarksburg (including along Observation Drive). The Open Houses provide an opportunity to meet the project team and review conceptual alternatives, the results of the preliminary analysis, station design concepts, and next steps. The same information will be available at each meeting. The meetings will be held on Tuesday, February 7 (snow date February 14) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Montgomery College – Germantown Bioscience Education Building, 20200 Observation Drive and on Wednesday, February 8 (snow date February 13) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Executive Office Building Cafeteria, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville.
