Posted: July 10, 2017 “Countryside Artisans Create” Exhibit Gaithersburg’s Arts on the Green presents “Countryside Artisans Create,” an exhibit featuring works by members of the Countryside Artisans of Maryland group, from July 14 through September 1, 2017, at Kentlands Mansion. The public is invited to meet the artists during a free Artists Reception on Thursday, July 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The exhibit features the artwork of Bev Thoms, Brenda Kidera, Claire Howard, Cynthia Jennings, Dalis Davidson, Jennifer Hamilton, Kristen Morrison, Lori Baker, Michael Holdahl, Orlando Morales, Penny McCrea, Susan Due Pearcy, and Tina Thieme Brown. The Countryside Artisans of Maryland represents a select group of accomplished visual, sculptural and textile artists working in oil, pastel, watercolor, pencil, ceramics, porcelain, glass, enamel, stone, wood, yarn, textiles, photography, tea, hops, and grapes. The artisans jointly open their galleries and studios, located in historic, rural Montgomery, Howard and Frederick Counties, for three art tours each year in April, October and December. Located at 320 Kent Square Road, the Mansion Gallery offers the opportunity to view art in the beautiful, timeless setting of historic Kentlands Mansion. Viewing hours are generally Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but due to event scheduling, please call the Mansion prior to your visit to confirm Gallery access. Please note that most of the artwork is for sale and all images are copyrighted by the artists.
