Food Vendors, Nonprofit Organizations and Candidates Invited to Apply for SummerFest Participation

Nonprofit organizations, candidates for public office and food vendors are invited to apply for participation in SummerFest, Gaithersburg’s premier summer festival and fireworks display. The free, family-friendly event takes place on Saturday, June 30, 2018, from 5 to 11:30 p.m. at Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm, 506 S. Frederick Avenue. SummerFest draws an entire community to the grounds of Bohrer Park for an evening of non-stop entertainment. This one-day event includes live music, food, craft beer, giant inflatables, captivating entertainers, giveaways, fun activity areas for all ages and interests and, of course, fireworks. A SummerGlo After-Party lights up the night until 11:30 p.m. Last year attendance was estimated at about 35,000 people. Please note that there will be no merchant, business or commercial vendors at this event. Nonprofit organizations applying for participation will be required to conduct a family-friendly activity adjacent to their booth space.
