For Immediate Release: 3/11/2013 Free Sign Language Practice Series for Beginners at Germantown Library in April, May A free five-session Sign Language Practice for Beginners will be introduced at the Germantown Library, 19840 Century Blvd., on Sunday, April 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. The program will continue on April 21 and 28 plus, May 5 and 19. No sessions will be held on April 14 and May 12. The practice sessions, that will emphasize practicing and expanding vocabulary and conversation, are designed for individuals ages 16 and older who have basic knowledge of sign language. Advanced beginners also are welcome. The series will be facilitated by Susan Gershowitz, an experienced teacher. Registration is limited to 30 participants. Registration includes all five sessions and is available on the library website at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/library — under Library Events Calendar. Co-sponsored by Montgomery County Public Libraries, the series is funded by the Montgomery County Association of Hearing Impaired Children.
