Theo nguồn tin tiếng Anh trên trang mạng của montgomerycountymd.gov For Immediate Release: 6/16/2014 County, Montgomery College to Co-sponsor NBC4-Allstate Community Shred/Recycling Event June 21 at College’s Rockville Campus The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Solid Waste Services reminds residents that they can shred and recycle personal confidential papers free of charge at the NBC4-Allstate Community Shred event scheduled for Saturday, June 21 from 8 to 11 a.m. at Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus. The event will be held – rain or shine — in Parking Lot #13 at the intersection of Route 355 (Hungerford Dr.) and Mannakee St. Cars must be in line by 11 a.m. Residents may bring up to five cardboard boxes and/or paper bags of personal papers for shredding. All paper will be shredded on-site. In the interest of safety and traffic flow, residents must remain in their vehicles at all times and will not be able to observe their papers being shredded. The following types of personal papers are acceptable for shredding and recycling: • Financial and legal documents, receipts, tax and medical records, applications, confidential mail, etc. • Paper with staples or paper clips • Envelopes with plastic windows The following materials will not be accepted at the community shred event: batteries; flammables; combustibles; electronic equipment (computers, hard drives, etc.); electronic media materials (disks, CD’s, tapes, etc.); plastic (credit cards, plastic bags, etc.); binders; hanging files. All of the paper and cardboard boxes collected during the event will be recycled. “Thanks to our partner, Unity Disposal and Recycling, we are very proud to have one of our compressed natural gas recycling trucks on-site to transport cardboard boxes and paper to our Recycling Center for recycling,” said Bob Hoyt, director of the Department of Environmental Protection. The event is a partnership between NBC4, Allstate, Shred-It, Montgomery College, Montgomery County Government and Unity Disposal and Recycling.
