Box 7424 Gaithersburg, MD 20898 vnmapteam@vnmap.org THE 5TH ANNUAL FUNDRAISING BANQUET “Passion and Progress” – Sunday, June 17, 2012 Dear VNMAP Supporters, The Viet Nam Medical Assistance Program (VNMAP) was founded in 2007 with simple missions: to bring medical support and education to the poor and minorities in underserved areas of Viet Nam and to provide the young professional students from the U.S. with a meaningful learning experience in international health and leadership. In 2009, VNMAP officially became a registered non-profit organization 501(c)(3). Since then, VNMAP has annually organized five other successful medical missions, and mission participants have collectively served more than 6000 people in rural areas of Central Region and Mekong Delta of Vietnam. Furthermore, VNMAP has actively involved in the state and local efforts to provide health education programs and services to the Vietnamese community in DC Metropolitan areas, especially with the signature Screening, Management, and Solution Awareness for Hepatitis B (SMASH B) program in recent years. This year, VNMAP is hosting the 5th annual banquet as part of the fundraise effort to support for our continuing health programs both in the U.S and in Vietnam along with the mentorship program for the talented college students emerging in our Vietnamese American community in 2012 – 2013. VNMAP would also want to take this opportunity to present to you the results to which your previous contributions have helped making possible. Particularly, how VNMAP’s programs have brought help to many needy and the students in improving the medical knowledge and professional skills. Your continuous support to our programs will greatly contribute to the effort making positive impacts on the lives of those who VNMAP has been and will continue serving, and we, as your trusted organization, are striving the best both staying true our missions and committing to make more improvements to the outcomes of our services and programs.
