You’ll find that Revels’ signature style includes plenty of audience participation—you can raise their voices at the Community Sing, kick up your heels at the Community Dance, frolic in the May Pole Dance, and more. There’s lots to see and do on the festival grounds, including spring-themed foods and drinks, local food samples, craft demonstrations, and wares for sale from artwork to May wreaths to tambourines. The central element of the day’s festivities takes place at 1:30 and 3:30PM on the Gazebo Stage, when Washington Revels will perform their 30th annual celebration of western English Spring traditions. The performance includes singing by Revels adults, teen and kids choruses—plus a crowning of the May Queen, the Padstow May ‘Oss, Maypole dances, mummers plays, and more audience participation.
