For Immediate Release: 10/1/2013 Montgomery County to Hold Talent Search for 2014 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Montgomery County’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Committee has announced it will hold a talent call for individuals and groups interested in performing in the 2014 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Auditions will take place on Friday, October 11 from 5 to 9 p.m., at Montgomery College, Rockville Campus. The committee is seeking musical and dance performers, as well as instrumental selections, spoken word and skit performances. Those selected will perform at Montgomery County’s celebration on Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Music Center at Strathmore, 5301 Tuckerman Lane, North Bethesda. Any individual or group wanting to audition must RSVP to Rachel Reed at MLKcelebrationMC@yahoo.com, no later than Tuesday, October 8 to receive an audition time. A three-minute performance is required, and all members of the group must be present at the audition.
