For Immediate Release: 10/24/2013 “One Stop Fair Housing Shop” to be Held October 31 in Silver Spring Housing professionals and providers will have an opportunity to meet fair housing regulators in Montgomery County at the free Fair Housing Educational Forum on Thursday, October 31, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Silver Spring Civic Building, One Veterans Place (corner of Ellsworth Dr. and Fenton St.). The “One Stop Fair Housing Shop” is sponsored by the Montgomery County Office of Human Rights and will include a complimentary lunch. Guest speakers will include representatives from the Office of Human Rights, Office of Consumer Protection, Office of Landlord-Tenant Affairs, Maryland Commission on Civil Rights, Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. A request is pending with the State of Maryland for the approval of 3.0 Continuous Education Unit Hours for those realtors who attend the forum.
