Theo nguồn tin của quận Montgomery Dear Community Partners: We would like to invite you to be a part of Montgomery County’s celebration of cultural heritage, the World of Montgomery Festival. The festival will be held at Westfield Wheaton Plaza Mall parking lot (next to the metro) on Sunday, October 20th, 2013, from noon to 5:00pm. Sponsored by Montgomery County, Fund for Montgomery and organized by KID Museum; the festival includes an international village, a global kitchen with chef demonstrations of traditional ethnic food, a craft market, a Parade of Cultures, two performance stages of traditional dance and music, connections through service, traditional arts and fun activities for the whole family. We would like you or your organization to become involved with the organizing of the event by: 1. Recommending cultural groups for the Parade of Cultures. 2. Informing your community about the event 3. Tell a friend and see you there, -Karla Parade of Cultures We are looking for community groups or cultural groups to participate in our parade at the event. It isn’t a traditional parade, but an informal promenade around the festival site, culminating in our welcome ceremony. Individuals and organizations in ethnic dress representing countries from around the world are invited to join in the parade. Colorful non-ethnic community groups are also welcome. The parade will begin at 1:30PM. If you are able to recommend a group (or groups) from your community to participate, please have them go to http://worldofmontgomeryparade.eventbrite.com to register. Inform Your Community For our printable free family pass (and raffle admission form!) click here. Please distribute the family pass along with the information included in the newsletter blurb to your contacts, list serves, and community members. Let me know if you can post it on your website or newsletter and I can send content to plug in. World of Montgomery Ambassador We are asking for you, or a member of your community, to become the official Ambassador at the World of Montgomery. This person will receive detailed information and maps prior to the festival to familiarize yourself with the activities and educational content of the festival. The Ambassador would coordinate with a minimum of twenty five community members to attend the festival at a time of your choosing. It would be the Ambassador’s responsibility to give each group a conducted tour of the event as they arrive. Ambassadors will be recognized from the main stage at the event.
